Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from therapy?
Coaching is education and behavior change support. Therapy treats mental health conditions. If you’re working with a therapist, coaching supports that work. If you need therapy, we’ll refer you.
How is this different from a yoga class?
This is personalized 1:1 coaching that combines yoga with nervous system science, functional medicine, and Ayurvedic constitution. We adapt everything to your situation.
Can this replace my doctor’s care?
No. Coaching supports your healthcare. We coordinate with your doctor and refer for medical decisions. Coaching is part of comprehensive healthcare, not a substitute.
What if I’m in crisis?
Call 911 or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7). Coaching is not emergency care.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. Anyone can book directly. But if you have a provider, let them know you’re doing coaching.
How many sessions do I need?
We recommend starting with 4 sessions (2 months at twice-monthly). This gives you time to learn practices, build habits, and measure progress. Many clients continue with ongoing monthly coaching after that.
What’s the recommended schedule?
Most clients see best results with 2 sessions per month. This gives you time to practice between sessions while maintaining momentum.
What conditions can coaching help with?
Stress management, sleep optimization, energy, lifestyle change, and supporting people managing chronic conditions (alongside medical care).
Is coaching covered by insurance?
Coaching typically isn’t covered (it’s wellness education). Some HSA/FSA accounts allow it. Check your plan.
